Crucifiction Cave, Lemon Pot and Lemon Pot 2

The Upper Langstrothdale and in particular the densely forested region of Landstrothdale Chase have been much neglected by prospectors looking for new caves in the Yorkshire Dales.  A persistent group of ULSA members have made some interesting finds in the region over the past five years.

Although there have been many finds of minor interest, the most significant is Crucifiction Cave, which has a classic Northern Dales atmosphere in its gloomy interior.

An extended campaign of exploration in the caves of Greenfield Beck produced some interesting finds - suggesting the existence of a kilometre-scale cave system which has yet to be fully explored by cavers or divers.
